php function to parse .dat

The other day I came across a simple php script to parse gallery's database. I assume it just creates an array of the information, but I don't know for sure.

Of course i didn't bookmark it and i can't find it anywhere. I've searched this site for the last hour, and can't find anything.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about or knows of something similar, can you provide a link?
