I would like to add fields to the photo properties. In addition to free-text captions, I would like to provide dropdown values to be selected for each photo - either on upload or later, when the photo properties are edited. This would allow photos to be categorized (and searched) according to a fixed range of values (such as themes), which are defined in some way by the administrator. Any work being done in this area? It would make all the difference.... Since there is almost no way of doing this in G1 (in absence of an SQL database to play with) I am assuming that G2 is the best place to make such a functional feature. |

first try the custom fields module.. that does some of what you want. you can develop further from there.
