Why not GD only and NO Netpbm or Imagemagick

Is it possible to just use GD and not bother with NETPBM or IMAGEMAGICK My ISP is being such an arse about getting either NETPBM or IMAGEMAGICK installed (www.38h.com) its on a Win2003 server. I know it will work if they install it because I allready have it all running sweet at a 2K3 server at work. But.. being an ISP they wont. Using PHP test I find that GD is enabled though. So.. this begs the question : Cant I jsut use GD as I dont need my gallery to do anything fancy. ?? Thanks in advance. |

No, GD is not supported in Gallery 1.x - It is in Gallery 2 - currently under development.
