Hi there, I am hoping someone can help me fix up my gallery so guests can see the pics again, it was all fine till a few days ago, not sure what i've done, i can still see the pics when logged into my gallery, but if i am a guest it says- I just went thru each album (in admin mode) and made sure all the permissions for each album is set to "EVERYBODY" for; Users who can see the album... If you have any ideas please let me know! I want guests to be able to view my album.. Am i missing something? Gallery URL (optional but very useful): |

hrm, but guests could access my gallery via- http://www.halcyondaze.net/modules/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=pics
that link seems to let guests view and slideshow ect, but the galllery links on my site goto the gallery_module and that seems to be not letting guests view the albums or slideshow...
any clue how i make it so that guests can view and slideshow on my module gallery?

oops, i meant my gallery component..(not module) can anyone help me out pls? Im wanting to be able to let guests view inside my albums, but they cant seem to without logging in, which is not how i just saved it, ..-
in the docs it says-
Users who can see the album -- Self-explanatory. Anyone in this box can see the album and navigate through it.
so i changed all my albums (all 4) to 'EVERYBODY' can view...still no luck tho.. what gives?

Hi,
there is a missing itemid in the links, in your case the 46
For example:
option=com_gallery&Itemid=46&include=view_album.php
Maybe a problem with your Mambo (?)

Hi Kai, thanks for the reply, ok i think i understand, there is missing url when a guest goes to click on the albums? How can i fix this? I dont see any other probs with my mambo... I thought maybe I had chmod a file or folder so i could work on it and have not re-set it correctly?
In any case i am getting frustrated and cant seem to work out why it's now like this...I have tried several times to adjust the permissions inside the gallery admin,,, no change.
???? pls help

Thnx Kai, I see now that if i type in-
http://halcyondaze.info/index.php?set_albumName=pics&option=com_gallery&Itemid=46&include=view_album.php
i can access the gallery albums fine as a guest..
So why are/would my mambo be making the links to the gallery do this? As it was working fine... Not sure what i did.

Hi,
I have no idea, never saw this before.
Have you installed a new module, mambot or template?
Is there a deleted Menuitem with the same ID in Mambo's Trashmanager?

Another idea, can you temporary enable Mambo's SEF (Search Engine Optimization). Maybe this helps (?)

I think it is template related. I noticed that the ParkWeb template for Mambo added an extra line at the end. Deleting that worked. Now, I'm having the same problem with not adding that line, too.
I don't know what happened but after cutting and pasting that extension above, my site began to allow guests to view. I even tried opening up Netscape, Mozilla and IE.
Not sure what happened. But, again, I think it is template-related.
I know, I'm a year late but hope that helps.
