Gallery stops Uploading with HTTP 500 error

Hi folks,

I tried Gallery once on an old Provider, it just had problem over problem due to the even heavier restricted safe mode on the server, so i tried a selfmade gallery-script.

But now I was happy do find Gallery again and installed it at once. With a little variation of my .htaccess file, it works great, it has a lot of improvements since I tried the script first, you can't call it script even more, it's more a real content management system ;)

Ok, now I come to the probs:

Gallery Remote (the big applet) running on Windows XP SP1, German System, 2ghz amd machine, 512mb ddr, enough hdd space, java 1.4.1 from SUN, firefox 0.8 (no, i won't upgrade for personal and technical reasons ;))

The Applet runs fine, but stops uploading every time i use it after a few files, no matter what size or type. Sometimes even after the first file, and sometimes it runs over 30 files withourt complaining.

The shown Error is an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error, from the log i got:

Hope you can help me to fix that (I have no access to any server things like php.ini unfortunately, there are just some things about .htaccess i can do), or just tell me it's my fault in some preferences (i searched for this type of error but can't find a bug with these reactions).

P.S. The applet works fine for me, it just stops sometimes, but the pics until then are online without problems, maybe it is not even a GR problem, but i think you will redirect me right if i'm wrong here =)

Hi,

I have the same problems with all-inkl.com
ask them to change the server limits to the max permitted values.
that did not solve it completely, but it reduced the error messages a lot, say 5 errors in 200 pictures. just upload the failed ones again...

I can't connect with my gallery 2.2 RC 2 installed in powweb.com with the gallery remote :S

I get ERROR HTTP POST (HTTP 500)
