Hi,

I want to use an image I found in Microsoft Publisher. I was wondering what type of copyright there is on these images. I would assume it is ok to use in an ad or online because it is distributed with the software and we purchases a licence to use the software and images.

Am I correct in this thinking?? :-?

lol, this is definitely the right place for such a offtopic ... topic :)

what kind of image are you talking about? an example image or what?
the best thing would be, if you ask MS. I'm quite sure that you didn't buy/get the licence to redistribute this image with your copy of ms publisher.

Its an image that you insert into your document. Flyer, banner, card, etc.

I want to use it for an ad in a magazine... since I created the ad in publisher I would think that I could use it for print in the magazine. I just don't want any hassles, that is all. Leave it to me for off topic 8)

in that case i'd say you have the right to distribute it. but i know nothing about these rights.
