Instead of PMing those of you that seem to have at least some alpha/beta Version of their integration running I'd like to ask you here to share what you have. There are so many of us out there with an installed PHPBB. Olympus seems still to be months away.

yes, there is a functioning integration package now available from the nightly snapshots page. once september rolls around, i will post up my demo site (i'm 99% through my 10GB/month of bandwidth, and dn't want it to run out).
Can't say much about the user integration since i have it only on my testing server with just me on it.
Just wanted to give you a quick update.

Just curious since I had phpBB 2.0.x and Gallery 1.5 working nicely together, but would love to use Gallery 2 instead.

i have big problems when integrating G2 with PHPBB2 ( heavly modified but it shouldnt be an issue )
everything works fine, i sync users and groups to G2 , and they show up.
if user logs in the permissions are right, the users gets logged on onto G2.
but the problem is when i register a new user , and i enter gallery i get big bad error end everything dies.
if i resync users the new user can log on.

Hello. Has anyone got the phpBB2/G2 integration working with phpBB v2.0.17? I don't have the version of phpBB that is being referred to here (actually I thought 2.0.17 is current since I downloaded it from phpBB.com just a week ago) but I tried the current G2 integration (just downloaded it an hour ago) so I suspect there is conflict with my phpBB version because when I try to click on the Gallery 2 link in the phpBB ACP, I get an Internal Server Error 500. I double checked my modifcation to the three files as well as the database table added and all of that appears to be done accurately. Perhaps then it's just that phpBB 2.0.17 is not the right version for the G2 integration mod?
Thanks for any info or assistance. Would love to integrate G2 with my phpBB site.

I have looked around and cannot find an integration for G2 and current released phpBB (2.0.17) and current G2 integration breaks phpBB 2.0.17 since it's looking for phpBB files that don't exist, etc. If anybody should discover a G2 integration or modification of it to work with phpBB 2.0.17 please post info. I, too, am looking for the integration with 2.0.17. However, I don't use Subsilver, I'm using the DAJ Glass template. Even if this mod will work for most, it will need to be tweaked to work for me. Either that or I go back to Subsilver until it's edited.

oh cmon.. the "subsilver" part can be applied to every kind of template , the problem is the integration mod itself, it uses probably new data structure from phpbb2.1

FYI, there is a working (i've installed it on my dev server and confirmed) bridge for phpBB 2.0.17 and G2 at www.nukedgallery.net
They have a working phpnuke bridge and a standalone phpBB2 bridge there.

Hi folks...
I realise that I publicly said on Snailsource that I personally was halting development and support for phpbb2->Gallery integration with the advent of version 2.0 but that was mainly due to the fact that it seemed someone had already picked up the ball and was running with it... This thread seems to indicate that's not necessarily true and I'm only now seeing signs of something in the wings from Dariush Molavi.
So, I suspect what I will end up doing is taking a look at the work already being done on the beta integration module by Dariush at nukedgallery and seeing if I can help with the dev side of things and get it up and running.
I should note that my main aim is to get gallery 2 in a state that will be useable on my own projects, that should be enough to help out everyone else to at least get started but I need to reiterate that my own workload right now is in orbit, so feature addition is just out of the question, from me at least... Hopefully we'll get things tied down for phpBB 2.0.x users though so it works
As for Olympus, OCBB, etc... can I respectfully request that a mod please split this thread so that new threads can be started for OCBB and Olympus (phpBB2.2/3) to help avoid the confusion that is frankly rampant in this thread... At the moment it's confusing for anyone in the know, let alone someone who is clued up. Thanks...

i installed all the integration and i am pretty sure it went fine but i get this when i try to use the "site admin" for the gallery.

The requested URL /admin/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
any help.
also when i try to add a photo it just comes up with a blank page.

The integration for phpBB2 is now compatible with Gallery 2.1. It can be downloaded from NukedGallery.net. Note that this integration will not work with Gallery 2.0 - 2.0.4.

phpBB3 aka Olympus will most likely enter the beta stages on April 1st 2006. If you have a system to test it on you may want to download the latest CVS. The forums are amazingly stable, and the new schema might make it easier to cross integrate Gallery then the 2.x series.

I've got a gallery2 with about 180 Users and want to use them within phpBB. Any chance here or do these scripts only import phpBB users into Gallery?

The phpBB integration checks for existing gallery users first and gives you the option of exporting them to phpBB before importing the phpBB users to gallery so as to avoid collisions, etc.

Hi,
I got it to work!
Implementation is very basic right now but seems to work.
The Layout needs to bee adapted (CSS gets mixed up) also the german umlaute are not displayed correctly

Hello. Has anyone got the phpBB2/G2 integration working with phpBB v2.0.17?
