Hi, I have a Gallery installed on my site a few months ago and using it fine. Now, I have just installed Mambo recently and uploaded the gallery.xml module into my Mambo CMS. I see the Gallery, but I don't quite understand how I now login to add and change photos, etc.

Also, all the pics are broken because it's trying to point to:

mysite.com/mambo/index.php......

but my gallery script and all photos are in:

mysite.com/gallery/albums.php... etc.

I don't really know what Mambo 'did' to allow Gallery module to work so not sure where to go fix these problems.

Basically I am new to CMS and would just like to use Gallery (as I normally did before) and have it on my CMS that it looks more like a complete website. :)

Thanks for anyone's assistance!

Jace

http://www.gallery-addons.com/content/view/28/65/

Go here, install the componunt, then set the path in the componant to the base gallery directory and then make a link to it using the menu. :)

Just to add a little info:
- when you install the componenet, you'll be able to go into Mambo admin and go under Components>Gallery and point it to the right folder for Gallery.

- if Gallery is showing up within Mambo already, I'm wondering if your settings for where your images are stored are correct in Gallery Admin?

-for administration, you have two options. You can go directly to Gallery as you did before and admin as you used to or you can first log into the front end of Mambo, follow your Gallery within Mambo link and you should be able to admin. One thing I've found is helpful for an *existing* Gallery is to make sure you have a Mambo user name that's identical to an existing Gallery user name (same password too) that has full admin rights in Gallery.

Thanks all, but I don't understand how that would fix it??

It's the url that my Gallery url link on my CMS menu that points to:

Url: index.php?option=com_gallery&Itemid=41

but the problem is this url above is pointing under my CMS folder only, whereas my existing Gallery script and albums is in another folder:

eg. website.com/CMSPAGES/

Gallery is under: website.com/GALLERY/albums and pics under here...

how would i fix this or change the url above to point to under GALLERY?

When you go over any pics, it's trying to find it under:
website.com/CMSPAGES/index.php.....

but exists under
webiste.com/GALLERY/here

??

Thanks for all the help here!

ok. I think i know what is causing the problem.... :) it's cause i have a third party membership subscription script installed for my gallery albums as well. i have a membership that is automatic repayment via PayPal using aMember script.
Any ideas from anyone to make this paid Gallery subscription area work more smoothly in my new CMS site?

Thanks!

<<It's the url that my Gallery url link on my CMS menu that points to:

Url: index.php?option=com_gallery&Itemid=41 >>

It *should* be that URL, then the app should re-point. You set this by going into COMPONENTS>GALLERY and putting the actual path to your GALLERY so the CMS knows where to look for it.
