Hi,
I am wondering if the DB schema is frozen for G2?
I am going to create a couple of personal sites and would like to know what's gonna happen to the DB schema and if there is going to be a way to update later on.
If not, I would just stick to the G1 for now.

Another thing is if I go with the G2 and create a gallery and later on I want to integrate the G2 with Postnuke or PhpBB, will I be able to do that?

Thanks,
SpaceGoblin

See this topic and this topic.
G2 already supports upgrades which may include schema changes. Embedding should not access the db directly so schema changes are not an issue.

Let me see if I got it right from those discussions.
So, basically, for an end user, there are 2 separate packages (say, gallery2 and postnuke or whatever) + an embedding module.
So if I use a G2 installation and then install postnuke later on it will just seamlessly integrate to my current gallery2 installation, right?

If so, that's all I want to know.

It should.
The postnuke integration module will have to deal with an initial user/group synchronization and AFAIK this doesn't exist in the current postnuke integration but is planned.
