Hi!

I haven't seen this feature in 1.3.1, so i'm hoping you can at least try to incorporate it in G2!

I want to be able to recive an notification, for instance via email, if someone uploads images to the gallery. Also maybe be able to set an quarantine destination for new images. This to keep from newly uploaded images appearing directly on my webpage, without my "autorization"

I have an horror vision, of someone obtaining the username/password of an registered user on my site, uploading some kiddie-porn or worse (Is there anything worse, really?) and then calling the cops....

It's my server, my responsibility and according to the Norweagian Police, probably also my fault. I wouldn't like to be hauled to jail fore something like that.... In the old Modem/BBS (Bulletin Board System) days here in Norway, we have several cases where the sysop where held responsible for data the systems users uploaded......

Christian

This actually sounds like a really good idea. It should be configurable of course
but creating a 'moderator' group that is allowed to review uploaded images before
they go 'live' would, in general, be a very good thing.

My thoughts exactly. Make the admin usergroup able to "Auhorize" pictures before they appear online. Users uploading the images should be able to select which album they want to upload to, so that the admin would only have to accept the upload, then the images would appear in the right album.

Bharat; What do you say??

We plan to do a "workflow" addon module that will do what you want and much, much more. It might now show up until G2.1, though. Stay tuned.
