Hi! I'm very impressed with G1 even though i have only downloaded it for a couple of days and am still tinkling with it. My salute to the developers of G1! But I was wondering with the new G2 developing, i hope that there would be a new feature that could be added to G2 and that would be to have a additional field for users to key in a description of the photos. This info would be used in the alt of img tag. <img src="some.jpg" alt="description"> Right now, the alt tags would be only set to the filename of the image.
I don't know if many people wants this feature or not.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the launch of G2.

Alt isn't the correct attribute for that kind of information, or it is if you are not seeing the images (but why do you want to view photogallery with images turned off?). title is the correct attribute. I'm not sure how IE handles title attribute - I quess poorly because everyone is using ALT as a tooltip.

But because G2 is template and plugin based something will be made I think.

Yeah I meant title rather than alt. It's just recently I switch from using alt to title. Discovered that Netscape 7 does not show alt but will show titles. The reason why I would like this feature is such that when user mouseover a thumbnail or photo, they can see a short description of the thumbnail or photo. Of course, I have captions written for every photos. So I don't usually associate title as an alternative to showing photos but as a visual aid.
