Adding photos: status 255

I am still fighting with netpbm 10.6 on WIN32. In general small files work, but sometimes I get error below. Large files always timeout. I have a 1.2 GHz machine.

Executing:

C:netpbmbinjpegtopnm "c:program filesapache groupapachehtdocsalbumsalbum01mate.jpg" | C:netpbmbinpnmscale -xysize 150 150 | C:netpbmbinppmtojpeg --quality=95 > "c:program filesapache groupapachehtdocsalbumsalbum01mate.thumb.jpg"

Results:
none

Error messages:

Status: 255 (expected 0)
Error: Unable to make thumbnail (0)!

Try following FAQ C.19...

Humm, I don't think that FAQ C.19 is going to cut it in this case. I think he's really getting an error. My guess is that this is the pretty standard "I can't upload images on Windows" problem. I'm going to make a sticky post about this and put it at the top of the forum so that we try to get all of this covered in one topic instead of a million different ones.
