display problems with IE6.0

I have installed Gallery2 on my machine (XP/Apache) and it looks great using Firefox. However, when I viewed my site using IE6.0 it looked very bizarre. The vertical alignment of the images was way off (too low). The shadow border "behind" the image was position well 1/2-way down the image. Extra space was also present elsewhere. Any ideas?

This is a known issue. I think it's because we removed the IE7 compatibility layer but have not yet gone back through the UI and added all the various hacks that we need to add in order to make our nice XHTML CSS 2.0 compliant output work on IE6 :-/

I too am having a problem with broken apart image borders. If you can look at my site and tell me if its me or the program that would be great. or if it is even the same thing we are talking about here.

This is a bug (in IE6 -- but we have to live with it). Would you please file it on the sf.net project page? Thanks.
