Hi there

Recently my web server crashed but fortunately i had a backup of the file structure and a mysql-dump. So here is my configuration:

Debian Linux 2.6.8
PHP 4.3.9-1
Postnuke
Gallery 1.4.1
netpbm (from the gallery download page)

Before the server crash everything worked quite fine, but now i experience a strange problem. Some of my albums went lost, and i wanted to upload them again. I do everything as an administrator out of Postnuke. So i`ve created an album (which works fine, renaming and setting properties works) and wanted to integrate some pictures, but i get the well known error:

- Adding 000016-3_edited.JPG
Resizing/compressing original image
No resizing required
Error: Unable to make thumbnail (0)!

So i turned on the debug mode, but somehow i cannot see any special debug message in Postnuke.... So i tried to access directly (www.webaddress.xyz/gallery) and from there i can see all the debug messages. But, what is more strange, that from here i CAN upload pictures like normally! This is an indication for me, that there is not a permissions problem within the file system.

I compared the permissions which will be set for a new album if i create it inside or outside postnuke, but it`s exactly the same. On important thing: If i try it within postnuke, i can see within the album-directory a thumb-file with size 0:

-rw-r--r-- 1 www-data www-data 0 Nov 17 04:52 000016_3_edited.thumb.jpg

Has anybody got a clue? I did not found anyone having this problem before...

Thanks in advance

Marco
