gallery with mambo 4.5.1a using cvs mambo directory

I am trying to get gallery to work with mambo 4.5.1a. I downloaded gallery-1.4.4-pl4.tar.gz and then overlaid the contrib/mambo directory with the current cvs. Installation went fine in the backend, but when I added the menu item, and then went to the gallery link, I get a message that I have a "Security Violation". I am not getting anything usefull in my apache error logs or system messages. I edited the to echo statements in the contrib to also include the file name with the error message, and it appears that it is not from the contrib code, or at least I did not get the filename with the error message.

Any help would be appreciated.
