Gallery v1.4.4-pl2 and Mambelfish v1.5

Hi All,

Has anyone integrated these two? I have managed to do so as per instructions from prevous posts. I chose Mambelfish because I need to create a bilingual site. Gallery is wonderfully multilingual, Mambelfish provides such functionallity as well, however, when I change the language in Mambelfish, the gallery component does not change. (Mambelfish provides a language dropdown menu on the frontpage, akin to the standalone Gallery). I have installed appropriate language packs into both Mambelfish and Gallery, so separately they work fine.
Would anyone know how to get Mambelfish to change the language in Gallery?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I am facing a short deadline.

Hi All,

Upon further investigation, Mambelfish's language variable is called 'lang', whereas Gallery's is called 'newlang'. I've set the language ISOs to match in both programs (e.g., en_US and fr_FR). I found that by augmenting the url with &newlang=<lang_ISO> the gallery component changes language. Could anyone suggest an efficient modification?

Hi,

though i am reading this very late, but i just renamed the variable from newlang to lang by search and replace. there are just 2 files using this varibale on my testserver its

gallery\layout\ml_pulldown.inc, 8
gallery\lib\lang.php, 7
