Theme G2 with me

I'm interested in working with someone to create a theme for G2 that is simple, elegant and svelte, and probably does not use all the bells and whistles that gallery provides. My vision is that it will be clean, standards compliant CSS/XHTML and be based on the color BBCCAA (gold). I want to display a unique font (haven't decided which) possibly using sIFR, and I want it to downsize gracefully for pda/phones. (not sticking on anything - Just wanted to throw some stuff out there)

I keep track of the up-and-up of standards compliant design but don't often get a chance to implement it. If you want to get together and brainstorm and start putting together a project with me let me know. It'll be a lot of fun. You can e-mail me at reflection+g2theme@gmail.com and AIM is breflection.

I totally forgot: I am also interested in incorporating this into Blogger. I think it'd be a big boon for Gallery and i'm positive it can be done. Someone - let's do this!

jmullan what is up with your post? The themes that are in G2 so far just aren't what I am looking for and I am interested in creating a new one and I think it would be fun to work with someone on it. This was not an appeal to you, obviously. Anyway, I like the color BBCCAA and think it really brings out our photos. It was used in a theme in G1 which is table based. And the great thing about sIFR is that it lets you use previously unavailable fonts (CSS 3 will let us link to a font library but how far off is that?) and if the user's browser doesn't support it, the normal verdana/serif/whatever displays. You can read about sIFR in the link I provided.

I answered a couple of things, pointed towards work being done on mobiles/handhelds, and queried about the color choice. Perhaps I should have made the winky sign next to that part ;) . However It's not like I called you names or made any sort of judgment.

I did look at the sIFR link, and I still have to ask if it is really standards compliant, accessible, and all that stuff. I'm all for trying new ideas, but that seemed at odds with the rest of your post.

Remind me not to answer people's posts. ;)
