Uninstalling Gallery

For months I have been wondering how I might integrate my two favorite php apps Gallery and phpbb.... Guess I wasn't looking hard enough because when I was configuring a new gallery set up I saw a new feature that allows you to choose different apps to integrate with.

My problem is I have loaded and configured Gallery already. Before loading phpBB do I need to unistall Gallery to make this work?

How do I go about uninstalling it? If I just delete the folder won't that still have gallery's MYsql DataBases in place?

I would appreciate it a lot if someone could give me some pointers first before I muck this up.
