I have Gallery 1.4.4 installed and I have come accross a problem that I can't seem to fix easily

When I create a galelry most of the time there are no Images in the directory that I upload just videos. this causes the gallery not to create a HiLight image. When I go back an add an Image to the gallery it will not create the Hilight image.

Is there a way to create a Hilight image with out first uploading the image that you want to use as it?

THank you

I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

Gallery can't use a highlight that doesn't exist in Gallery.

Okay Here's the situation.

I use the URL Applet to upload a directory of videos to the server.
Now since these files are not Images (They are AVI or MPG's) there is no Hilight image created.

Seeing this I upload a picture so that I want to be the hilight image. since the gallery has files in it (ie the videos) it will not create a hilight image.

Is there a way to have the gallery create the hilight image when there are already files in the album and no hilight image?

Hope that better explains it.

Click "Highlight Image" underneath the image you uploaded.

Gallery should always create a highlight, though maybe not a pretty one, by using the Movie Thumbnail Icon...

Mine doesn't. is there a configuration setting to make it do it. I get a movie thumbnail for the movie I upload but it will not display that hilight in the main album.

Don't know why you can't highlight the movie thumb, but you can upload a image and highlight it and then if you don't want to have users see it then you can hide it as well.
The movie thumb (that you can change) is /images/movie.thumb.jpg
Also of note for movies is:
Changing Movie Thumbnails (Low-Tech, NOT ffmpeg)
