Hi everyone..
Is it better to wait for Gallery2 before setting-up and launching a new site based on photo galleries? or should I start off with Gallery 1.x first and then upgade to Gallery2 when it becomes avalible..
I'm looking to have the site go live in January or Feb..of 2003...
Also will it be a good script for what I want the site to do? basically it's a place where anyone can sign-up for an account and post pictures to be viewed. The theme is that they should be pictures from across Canada and will be grouped into the different provinces as subsections.
Any insight would be appreciated...
thanks,
Jeremy

Gallery 2 might not come around till March or so. Regardless, it will be easy to upgrade your Gallery 1. So you can move ahead with Gallery 1. There are posts on the forum regarding self-registration. Do a search... I know I've seen talk about it being done.
As for features, you should read the feature tracker on the Gallery SourceForge page, as well as the Gallery 2.x Development and Site Feedback forums. They have suggestions posted by other people, and often have replies regarding whether they'll be implemented in v.2.
