I am trying to choose an web image database, but they all seem to be missing some vital features for my application.

Specifically, does Gallery support assigning an image (w/description) to multiple categories?

Also, will Gallery (perhaps 2.0) support MySQL, or does it use proprietary binary files for the database?

-- Not G1, but G2 supports multiple categories.

-- Again, not G1 - but G2 does support MySQL.
