Is there a way to make it so the administrator would have to approve comments before they would be posted? I'm getting a lot of crap posted by kids on my gallery in the comments but don't want to ruin the fun for the people that aren't abusing it. So if there was a way to make it so I had to "approve" the comments before they went up, that would be great. Maybe have a page come up after they post and say your comments will be added as soon as the moderator approves them or something like that. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

You can have moderators:

and you can have bad word filters:

Other than that make the user register and then use the permissions to only have logged in users post comments.
I am sure it could be done for G1 but don't look to me to code it. There is other pressing tasks ahead. Perhaps somebody else has done it and has not shared or is willing to code it and share.
Perhaps a G2 module?

Even though it isn't the same as approval before hand, you do have the option of deleting comments if you don't like them. I guess the only difference is that if you don't check your site often, the offending comment could be up there for awhile.
