Basic Authentication still broken

Hi,

I just downloaded Gallery 1.4.4/GR 1.4 and I have to report that the basic authentication ifinite loop is still there with both the standalone app and all the variations of the applet. The behaviour is unchanged since GR 1.3.2

I am pleased to report that using the form upload does work, so there is at least a workaround.

Ahhh good, so its doing the same loop for other people too! This has been broken since the release after v1.2... is there a workaround?

Sorry no, wish i could. :( Its the office proxy, nothing i can do...

Is there some debugging log level i can turn on and give you a log for to help track this down?

I think I've solved the basic auth password dialog not working. Can you test GR 1.4.1-b12, which will appear overnight?

Yup, it's not looping with the login prompt anymore. But... nothing seems to happen after it logs in. No albums are listed or anything.

That may be because the user you logged in as doesn't have upload privileges. Can you PM me a user/pass that can? I'll use that to test the applet also.
