News/Blog in G2?

Hello All! I am really excited to hear about the progress of G2 and can't wait to try it out. However, I have not yet taken the time to install the new Alpha release of G2. Can anyone give me some feedback if these features will be available straight out of a G2 install:

A news or bulletin board system?
(An example of this is found at http://www.rutherfordfamily.net. I implemented Coranto here to display news before moving into the Gallery pictures.)

Integration into a blog or a blog system included within G2?
(I run a blog and also have another blog for my camera phone. I would really like to have a blog, camera phone blog, and gallery all in one product. These features would make me very happy and make my need for a standard news page vanish.)

I appreciate hearing back from someone about this soon and I look forward to reading about the next G2 release in the near future.

Our primary focus is to provide support for albums of photos so I don't think that we'll have a full-blown news interface. However, it wouldn't be hard to write a blog-like layout and add a module to support news stories. I don't imagine that the core team will be providing support like this for quite a while though as we want to stay on focus.

We will be supporting integration into popular blogs like MovableType, Blogger, b2evo, etc. That will happen when we're happier with the state of the product's primary focus so expect that to happen around the final release or afterwards. Stay tuned!
