Just a random stab in the dark... but I don't think adobe would ever allow it.
Adobe has it's own plugins, and any content management systems which support conversion of adobe formats have to pay huge wodges of cash to be allowed access to their APIs

It should be possible to convert pages on the fly to PDF, using the PDFLib extension, which you todynamically generate documents in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).
Don't know if this was the thing you meant, though... :roll:

I think that the original poster meant that it would be cool to be able to upload "pdf" files to Gallery as if they were images. It is possible to use ghostscript to create a gif thumbnail of the first page of the document and display the document in Gallery as an object to view.

G2 will support all different kinds of file types. It won't be able to do much with PDF files, but you'll be able to stick your own thumbnail on the file, store and download it.
