Gallery and Phase CMS

It's a cms that uses "snippets" to import extra add-ons.
These snippets are just blocks of php code that are pulled through snippet tags that are put into the theme or document pages...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if gallery could be somehow accessed through a block of code like that (and made into a snippet for phase)

I was thinking that if you had phase running on the site, then had gallery running elsewhere on the site (in another directory) that the gallery could be pulled through some php code to display into the phase layout.

Anyone have any idea where I could start to try to get this to work? or if it's even possible?
