Just a quick question/suggestion about the G2 themes.

First off before i suggest or ask anything, i want to let you guys know that G2 is moving along, and looks and works great. Keep up the great work

Now if i may ask for a favor. I have a decent amount of users on my 1.x galleries that i host, my only concern is that most of them are of the, well, computer iliterate(to put it nicely), so would it be easy enough to have a theme very similar to the 1.X theme so that the users would not have to relearn and refind most of the features? In the next couple of weeks i hope to start fiddling with the theme myself, but was just seeing if there was already something like this planed or already in the works.

Thanks again

That might be hard - as G2 has completely moved away from popup windows.
You might be able to move the navigation to the top and put all the links in [brackets] though, that might give it a similar feel.

Someone will probably chime in with a more offical answer.

What you're talking about is a layout, not a theme. You probably also want to do a theme so that you get a similar color scheme, but in order to actually make things look similar when browsing you have to come up with a layout that presents the album thumbnails and images in a similar manner as before.

Doing a custom theme will take you part of the way there. Problem is, while most of the G1 features are in G2, they're called different things and are in different places. I don't think that there's any way to make them line up in the same fashion as before. I imagine you'll get a pretty good idea of what's possible and what isn't when you start fiddling with it...
