Hi,

Looks like the watermarking is gonna feature heavily again, or simply that this new release will vanish the problem forever! (*fingers crossed*)

I would like someone to email a link to their site demonstrating the watermarking feature. I would like to see it before I make the move to 1.4.3RC3

The thing about the watermarking that I would most like to find out about is whether or not the feature will allow marking of just the large picture (i.e. the one that appears in view_photo pages) and leave the thumbnails unaltered. I would also love to see this feature have adjustable transparency or even implementation as a texture map!!!

I look forward to the flood of messages!!!

I don't mean to offend, but the effect is pretty cack and not very professional looking. Can the transparency be varied, 'cos I would like to put cover the whole image with a massive copyright symbol or notice which has a very low transparency that doesn't interfere with the viewing of the image, but is obtrusive enough to stop people bothering to print out the image.

It was just for playing and I am not a photoshop expert. You can see there is a few watermaks on the same image.
The image that gets overlayed is only as good as you give it. So if you are good at photoshop and have a good image then the results will be much better.
The transparance can't be veried it Gallery. The transparence is witht he overlayed image.

You only get what you give it. If you look at the watermarks that I used they where small but not vary transparent. So for your "LOOK" you would need to have a larger image that is mostly transparent.

Here is the images that I used: http://langleycom.com/watermarks/
Like I said the image is only as good as you give it.

OK, cool.

So what file formats support transparency?

Floridave, if I send you a transparency level would you mind uploading it to your site so that I can see how it might work?

What sort of file size (in kb) and dimensions (in pixels) should I aim for?

Oh, another thing! Do I have to manually apply the watermark to each image or does it batch every image when they are added to an album for example?

Sure on my TEST site you can add pictures so you can send me a watermark image that you think will go with the picture you will upload. So if you want a full image watermark make the watermark image the same size as your image or a bit smaller. Then you can add the watermark to your image in the center or wherever you want to achive the look you want. Send me a few so you can get a feel for what it does.

You are able to do one image at a time...from the pull down under the image when logged in
OR
You are able to do the full album from the link [water mark album].
It does not do it unless you tell it.
