Mac OS X 10.1 and 10.2 (tried both)

When I ran the preview, it wouldn't login, so reading that this was a known bug, I upgraded to b10. When I enter my login information and the URL, and click on Fetch Albums, nothing happens.

The log shows: 1035683534026|INFO |MainFrame |fetchAlbums starting

...but nothing else.

Try deleting the *.properties files and trying again. I have had to do this when I had ran a version that still had the old bug in it before overlaying the new code.

After deleting "default.properties" which was the only "*.properties" file that could be found, Gallery Remote would no longer launch.

Are the *.properties files kept somewhere else other than the Gallery Remote folder?

Odd, I don't have a default.properties, just a remote.properties that looks like this:

#Fri Oct 25 18:21:52 EDT 2002
showThumbnails=true
inspectorDividerLocation=300
url=http://mysite.my/gallery
username=jsteinhu
previewBounds=578,0,502,521
mainBounds=2,0,576,521
showPath=true
showPreview=true

Try:
1] Installing GR
2] Installing the preview
3] Overlaying the beta WITHOUT running GR first!

The defaults.properties is indeed necessary to run GR. You should not edit it, and it only contains default values that can be overriden in the GalleryRemote.properties (from 1.0b8 on).

Read the ReadMe.html file to find out where GalleryRemote.properties is located.

If deleting GalleryRemote.properties doesn't fix your problem, activate detailed logging (ReadMe.html) and send or post the log. Maybe that will help us. What is the version of the Gallery you're logging on to?
