/setup directory not created

<i have had a few gallery installations running fine for a while, and today i decided to upgrade to 1.4.2.

one upgrade went fine.

on the other one, i couldn't access the configuration page. at mydomain.com/gallery/setup/index.php

when i looked i saw that no /setup directory was created in that account. /setup was created in the account where the upgrade went fine.

can i just copy /setup from one account to the other?

why didn't it get created?

Try reuploading the files. setup/ should definately be there.

Also, make sure it's not your FTP client. Some clients may hide directories that are chmodded 0, like setup/ may be in secure mode.

i'm in the shell, so it's not the ftp client.

i have copied /setup from another installation, and i have been able to
run the configuration wizard.
