I hope this is the right place to post this.
Overall, gallery is awesome, and I'm thankful that you guys put it out there for people to use free of charge.
I am running a gallery with 105 albums and 10247 images with little to no problems.
There are a couple things that I think would be really helpful if they were included:
- Separate new pictures somehow.
I used another gallery program before, and one feature it had that I really liked was that it very clearly showed which pictures were new in an album. For x amount of days, any new pictures would have one of those little "new" images under the thumbnail.
It also had a little link within an album that you clicked, and it took the visitor to a page that displayed only the pictures in "new" status.
Just any sort of differentiation for new images would be rad.
I was a bit suprised that gallery didn't have any of those features.
- admin section?
This is just more of an ease of use/laziness suggestion. I'd like it if there were some sort of settings section for admins, so that one can change the little things like switching skins, changing highlight size, borders, etc without putting the gallery into config mode.
If I knew more about php, I'd try to write some sort of mod for the new images thing, but I know next to nothing lol.
I know there is the random block available that shows the last 5 updated albums, but that's not really what I want.
