Simple questions about Random Block...?

I suppose someone's got to ask the simple questions...

I'm trying to install the random block standalone... on a server not having the phpnukes, etc.

I copied the random-block.php file to my gallery directory and edited the index.php file in the gallery directory such that the safe to include array includes block-random.php now.

Perhaps I don't know exactly what's supposed to happen... Is an entry to some Gallery menu in the administrator mode supposed to show a choice for block random? If yes, this is not happening...

Or, is block-random.php just a file I include on my own php pages and call a random photo from there?

Or, is block-random.php supposed to be able to do both these functions?

Certainly if it's supposed to do the former, then obviously something's wrong...
