Hi,
i just doesn´t work to change the language from english to any other language. It doesn´t matter if I switch to german, italien and so on.. its always in english!
i´ve already used the search function here. There are similar problems and i´ve read them all, but they don´t help. I use suse linux 7.2 and not debian. I downloaded and copied the language pack (german) several times without any change. I restartet apache, no change. I even tried different versions of gallery. I´ve tried everything I know, but nothing worked.. 
Maybe someone could help me here? that would be really great!

I have the same problem...
Gallery no longer changes to German even though language pack is installed and selected. No errors during installation. Here's your config mode link.

Problem did not occur with former Gallery version.
Please lemmee know how to fix this since the new user doesn't speak much english.

i dont think its a gallery Problem.
Did you maybe Update System ? Or your PHP ?
Because you have a common known Problem for debian.
A PHP with gettext, but no locales.
So either you recompile your php without gettext support (no good idea) Or you install the de_DE System locales.
