Hello

First of all congratulations on Gallery .. it really is excellent. I'm running version 1.4-pl2 on Mac OS X Server 10.2 (Apache 1.3.27, PHP 4.3.4 with ImageMagick 5.5.7) and it installs and runs flawlessly.

However, I've tried to upgrade to 1.4.1 several times and the install fails. It doesn't fail completely, but refuses to recognise my .htaccess file and so mod rewrite cannot be enabled. I've tried various Apache configurations (even changing global AllowOverride to All) but without success. Version 1.4-pl2 still recognises my .htaccess file, so for the time being I'm staying with 1.4-pl2.

If you'd liek any more info, or would like me to test anything, please let me know.

Thanks

what about deleting the current .htaccess and let the setup create a new one?

Thanks .. I've tried that. It doesn't work. There is something different in 1.4.1's handling of .htaccess files which prevents it from working on my configuration.
