duplicate images when upload from local directory

I am running Gallery 1.3.3 on Postnuke .726. I know alot of you are going to say "you should upgrade your gallery". I started to, but it proved to not be so easy. I will in the near future, but for now, I am happy with 1.3.3. Anyway, I am having a problem uploading images "URL or a directory on the server". When I mount a floppy on /mnt, and point to that, duplicates of the images are listed to select. Even though I select EVERY OTHER one, still I get 2 dupliate versions of every image posted in the final gallery. It is a real pain, because then I have to go back and remove 1 copy of all of them 1 at a time..

Has anyone seen a fix for this?

(Which means upgrade your PHP to 4.3.x... your problem is a known issue resulting from PHP 4.2.2 and Apache 2 incompatibility.) :)

I'm having this problem under PHP v4.4.0 and Gallery v1.5.1-RC3. It'll just keep creating duplicates until I kill the "add photos" windows, then it's on to deleting one-by-one...I know this thread is two years old...Am I the only one still experiencing this problem? :-)

i am currently experiencing this problem but the symptom has only begun recently for some reason.
