problem with italian translation

I have problems with italian translation the character à è ù are shown as question marks. I don't know if i've done some error in installation, im on a linux sever that hosts mi application, my address is: http://www.treeffe.org/gallery If I use the same characters in a photo description, the display is correct. A suggestion, when i upload ha lamguage files should I use ASCII OR Bynary? Actually I use ACE ftp All gallery seems to work well. Thanks for any suggestion. |

There was no way to get the problem solved, I've seen other galleries working perfectly with italian language, I' think is a problem with the charset.
I've edited the PO core file with POEDIT and changed all the accented character from " è " to " e' " (in italian is the same).
I've uploaded the edited files and now my gallery is working, no more question marks.

Hi,
this is maybe a solution for you, but i dont think its nice.
I would have installed the corresponding language/charset in your IE.
