about license

hi, i jsut tested Gallery on my website, firstable thanks for your work!! :D
I just wanted to know what to do to have a commercial license, we'd like to use Gallery on a website that will let people that work with us to send their photos and we would like to unshow "powered by..." text + modify source code; so, is it possible to buy commercial license?

tkan, Gallery is published using the GPL. In general you can do whatever you want with the source, as long as any product derived from it also is released using the GPL and that the source is publicly available.

So basically, have fun, go mad, change whatever you like :)

tkan, of course if you'd like to donate to the project please do so, but there is no requirement. :)

I am just blown away by this program and would hope that there would be more projects like that out there. But then again its hard to believe how the developers devote so much time to this without any pay.
