Yet another importing from 1 to 3 post, please help

I've been running v1 for many many years. I love Gallery! This is a great program. I have always backed up my albums/ directory. This is the only folder that I have ever backed up. I had been running v1 for many years. I now have a clean install of v3m the latest version downloaded today June 16, 2014. What is the real answer to this question? Can I import my v1 albmus directory into v3? If so, what is the most updated documentation that I can use? I've seen posts about going from v1 to v2 then to v3. I've seen other posts about using the import module from v1 to v3, but none of these posts seem to have a solid solution. I don't mind going back to v1. I don't mind going to v2 if I must. I'd like to stay at v3. I have all of my pictures from /albums tar'ed. I don't have any of my previous configs. Only my /albums forlder. What are my options? |

I've removed v3 and went back to v1.
I untar'ed my albums and have a working Gallery now, again.
The only problem that I now have with v1 is that my albums are not in the correct order. For example, my daughter's birth should be the first ever album but instead it is in the middle of all other albums. The order of the original albums are wrong. How do I fix this? Once this is fixed, I'll upgrade to v2, then to v3.

[SOLVED]
Please disregard. I deleted my entire /albums directory. I then stopped httpd. I then untar'ed my albums backup file and changed the folder permissions to drwxr-xr-x 2 apache apache 4096 Jun 18 11:36 testnew. I then restarted httpd.
All albums are in order now.
Now... will try to upgrade to v2.
