Have had Gallery 3 up and running for over a year with no problems. Now all of sudden I cannot login to admin>maintenance settings. Admin/settings, modules, content, appearance, user groups still work. I have had the site in "maintenance mode" for the last couple months as I add content. Now I cannot access admin/maintenance so it is impossible to turn maintenance mode off. When I do try to access admin/maintenance all I get is a blank screen. Tried with Mozilla and Chrome under KDE linux. Same result. Any suggestions? edit addition: When I login as admin the page goes blank. When I try the site again I find I'm logged in, but still cannot access the maintenance section under the admin tab. I am using Gallery 3.0.9 Cannot access admin>dashboard either. edit addition: tried w/IE on Win7 and same result so it's got nothing to do with the browser. This stinks, I was starting to like this program and made a donation a couple months ago. Now it looks like it's too buggy or insecure to rely on.

Your post is hard to read perhaps you can, in the future add a carriage return(s), to add a new paragraph to make it more readable.

We don't install timers in the code. Somthing on the host changed. How is that insecure?

Blank pages are normally a fatal error before the application can do any logging so I would not think there is anything in the gallery3/var/logs that would yield a clue but certainly look there for a clue.
Blank pages should be logged in the servers error log, look there for a clue. If you don't know where that is.... your host is the best bet.

Okay, sorry I'm frustrated. Just got it working again by following the upgrade instructions with 3.0.9. Moved var folder and copied themes and modules to new directories, renamed, and browser to ///index.php/upgrader and everything working again. I can get into admin>maintenance settings. So the host must have changed something outside my control that broke it. Running in maintenance mode for extended duration was not related to problem. Once I read the faq's the upgrade went quickly so if it happens again sometime I'll just do a fresh install. Thanks, I'm liking it again.
