Upload very slow

Hi there!
I got Gallery 3.0.4 running on my Zyxel NSA 325v2, and it works fine, except for one thing: The upload of one photo takes about 1 minute, although it says 100% right after one or two seconds. The photos are only some MBs big, so nothing special, and I upload them as jpg. What could be the problem?

Most NAS's are not appropriately powered for image manipulation demands. I assume you have a shell on the NAS. If so, take a look at the utilization of the CPU during upload (use 'top' if available) and I'm betting you'll see process saturation.

I'm running G3 on a VIA 1GHz board with 1G RAM so it is already quite challenged considering what it is doing. It takes about 30-40 seconds for an image. Don't forget that it isn't just uploading the image, it is also generating the low res version and thumbnail. Then any other module you have installed may be performing any of its operations as well.

For comparison, I read that your Zyxel is a 1.6GHz SoC board. It is probably challenged as well - and its probably doing all of this on top of its normal NSA functions.
