Hi All,
My Gallery has one album which contains 2 subalbums. I have installed the Password module and have set a password for the parent album. I would like to restrict it so only I, or other certain registered users, can see one of the subalbums but everyone with the password can see the other subalbum. But it seems that as soon as someone types in the password they can see everything. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

gallery2 has a very robust permissions system. You can set accessibility to any item you want to either whole groups or on a per user basis.

I was hoping to allow users to access most albums with only a password, and then have some other albums restricted to certain users. Is that possible?

Any permission you set on an album is inherited by its sub albums.
Before asking permissions questions have you viewed the permissions interface for an album?

I attached a screen shot (to my OP) of the permissions for the album I want to restrict access to. A user called "test" and the system administrator can access the album but no one else should be able to. The parent folder is set so everybody can view it's contents but not the sub-folder in question. Is there another setting I should be looking at? Thanks.

OK, I just re-read your post.
The parent album does have permissions set so everyone can view the parent. I deleted the permissions for Everybody to access the folder, then re-added that permission with the "apply to subalbums" box not checked. It's still not working. When I log out of the admin account I can still see the restricted album after entering the password.
