Search the gallery restricted to tags only?

I am part of a community project collating an image archive that is on view for public (everyone) using G 3.0.9 There will be many 1000 tags used. Can a viewer (or can we set) restrict search of tags only. What we have now searches title (and possibly other fields) as well as tags. If yes, how? If no, I'm looking for advice on setting up to make it as easy for viewers to make use of tags to find what they want. We do have "All Tags" enabled. If its any help to provide me with advice this is the site. We are very much in a familiarity/set-up phase at moment. |

Not sure how/why this is an issue for you (unless your titles don't relate to the images), but that's neither here nor there.
Yes, it can be done, but you'd have to edit the search module.
You would basically edit the module to only search tags; it would be more difficult to make it a user option.

Thanks very much for that confirmation and the lead.
Edit the module is not something I could even guess at, but I'm confident someone among our community should be capable.
