Is it possible to search keywords from META data?

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it is possible to search using the G2/3 interface for META data in images or is it only keywords that are manually assigned in Gallery?

I would like to use Gallery to create an archive of my photos. Photoshop/Bridge allows me to put the relevant tags/meta data in per photo and to be able to search that would be perfect - since then the photo details aren't linked to Gallery and can be exported for other uses etc.

I believe if you have the exif module it will populate the tags from the keywords and those are searchable.

@Pleebo: What you're proposing is exactly what I keep recommending that people do whenever possible. Gallery will import almost all exif, but you'll have to make a quick edit to get titles to read in: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/gallery/ticket/608

Keywords and descriptions/captions will read in by default after you've activated the module.
