Problems with G1 to G3 import with g1_import module

I am running G1 since the beginning, more than 10 years. And it runs good, even with more than 90,000 pictures.

The only problem - its starting slower and slower because of the image count on the start page. slowPhotoCount = "no", but
the exact counting goes on and on.

Suse linux, apache 2, G1 1.5.7. Albums are external on my QNAP TS419 nas, mounted with nfs, 1 Gbit link. The gallery
is only for my own use, no access from outside.

I installed G1 on the nas and planned to work directly from there. It works, but the startpage is even slower because of the image count.

I installed G3 on the nas and planned to import the G1 data directly to G3 with the g1_import module.

The module is installed, activated. But when I start it "G3 - Admin - Settings - Gallery 1 import", I only get the headline
"Import your Gallery 1 photos, movies and comments into your new Gallery 3 installation.", nothing else. No input field for
the G1 data path, no start button, nothing.

Can someone help me?

Hi Hans:
I am in the process of doing EXACTLY the same thing.
Did you put ALL of the g1_import files (unzipped or uncompressed) in your directory "gallery3/modules"?
I did it using the FTP program, it was simple.
I am currently on photo number 4943 4945 as we speak.
I have over 15K files in 292 albums.
It sometimes requires restarting the process but I hope to eventually get all the pics back.

Hi Chinaclipper,

I got the whole archive and unpacked it under .../modules. Seems to be ok. I could activate it.

The problem arises when I try to do the settings. No input field for the G1 path, no start button, nothing but the headlines.
