I'm using Gallery 3.0.3 and I noticed there's a security release. Now, my Gallery has been set up to automatically check for new releases. At least I think, because that option is enabled in the admin dashboard. Not sure what it does exactly.
In any case, it's still on 3.0.3 for some reason. To me, it doesn't seem to do any automatic things concerning new releases. What's worse, "Check now" doesn't do *anything* other than refresh the page. No message, no nothing. It does exactly the same thing as hitting F5.
Now, how do I get it to update itself to the latest version? I sure hope I don't have to let out a big sigh before having to do it manually in this day and age... Any help?

There is no automatic updates yet. You have to perform the upgrade yourself.

Well, consider it a feature request then ;)
In any case, the update check did not work, which upon release of a security update is a severe security risk in itself... This is why an update(-checking) machanism should be tested to death, so to speak.

The auto-updates are planned for later versions. This request has been made previously on several occasions.
