Email notification enhancement

I was very excited to hear about the email notification feature in 1.4.1. After trying it out though, I'm a bit disappointed. It seems to send a separate email for every change made. A daily summary (ala TWiki, if you ever seen that) would be much more useful. Also, a way to register for email updates on the whole gallery would be very useful too, or at least all sub-albums of an album at once.

I agree with the original poster.

If you are a registered user with permissions to view an album you should be able to sign-up for e-mail notification everytime an album you have "subscribed" to changes.

Gallery is a terrific project!

anyone working on this?

I don't want to hack around on the code if this portion is under heavy modification, as I will probably work pretty slowly.

Also, I'm unsure of how it currently works as of 1.4.1. Does it email only on new pictures, or also on new nested albums as well?

Pretty disappointed that it won't email about new albums, but thanks for all the hard work. Very nice package overall.

I agree with this suggestion, it's why I came into this suggestion forum in the first place.

Once I put up an album, I rarely add new photos. My visitors simply want to be alerted when new albums are added. This would make the Gallery much more convenient.

Love this project, keep up the great work!

Is anyone on the dev team taking these into consideration?

We need to have a "daily summary" or a digest e-mail feature.

We also need to have a way to be e-mailed when new albums arrive.

I have subscribed to my own gallery since my wife does the updating and she recently added a ton of pics to an album and I recieved ~ 50 emails! That's not a good thing.
