add photos browser open needed

Hi, I have the following issue:
when I add a folder to an album (the default one) it starts to search for photos and to add them to the album; in order to do that the web console it shows me a message like this: Adding photos / albums (123 of 403) with the option to pause the process. The problem is that when I close the browser the process of adding photos is paused which is silly because I have to keep another computer open in order for the process to continue. Is any alternative to this ?

Use another's tab in the browser and let it finish.

Sorry I didn't presented well the problem; the computer running gallery is computerG and I give the command (Server add) from the computerX. When I shutdown computerX the process of adding photo is paused although computerG has the photos to add already stored in a accessible folder and thus has no need of computerX.

PS: computerG is a NSA310 (network attached storage from Zyxel)

The process need to be open for the application to function.
