first off, i love gallery. it's the most powerful photo program out there...

i just wanted to let you know the mods i make myself (this time around with 1.4.1 RC3 i made less mods as there were so many features that were added, mad props!) so perhaps it could be added as a feature, in case it hasnt been mentioned:

1. i make the font color of the "viewed XXX" the same as the background to keep viewing a little bit tidy...bottom line is that the webmaster is the only one typically interested in that - either that or perhaps make a mod to only allow the admin to see the views

2. get rid of the word: "ALBUM" in the albums...it's pretty obvious and just takes up space...

3. have the option to delete the CHANGED feature...or only allow the admin to see

4. allow more room for text in the description...the way the tables are lined up all the text allows for is one - two words per line for the thumbs and gets really cumbersome and vertical heavy for text... (ie. http://fotos.olympus-mons.com/2003) - there is just a lot of horizontal wasted space that would be better served with spaced out text (in my opinion...)

i think that's about it for now...

i just dont want anyone to think i am nit picking and criticizing...i am just speaking my mind on what changes i make on my own...

1. I've just added some new stuff into 1.4.2 in CVS that will make the font stand out more easily. Also added support for changing link colours. And more to come as people start writing skins and uncovering the kinks. (Will go into CVS for v1.4.2)

2. You can do this with the html_wrap/album.header file.

3. Do you mean "last changed on..."? Yeah, right now you'd have to edit the code, but it's not v. difficult.

4. Do you want more than one top-level album per row? If you want to space the text, you can do this via CSS again with some judiciously placed letter-spacing directives.

1. i didnt mean for it to stand out more...i meant for it to be hidden to users, but accessable for admins

4. more than one top level? no...i just mean if you have small thumbs the text wraps to the size of the thumbs...even when there is a huge gutter...it just seems really cluttered...
