To share or to play while viewing?

If the answer is share, then, no, it's not supported. If the answer is to play as background music, there are some mods by one of our contributing devs, and he may speak up about it here. I'm unsure of his status of implementing the music playback.

I am using the gallery to archive photos, commercials and speeches for the organization i work for so that the other employees can easily add and find the media. The audio files would just be different speeches.

Gallery2 has a mp3audio module, better yet it has a multimedia module

I ended up converting the audio files to wma files and then changed the extensions to .wmv and it let me upload them. Not exactly the best way but for the archiving purpose I am using this for it works.
