G2 Import to G3

I established a new Gallery 3 and tried to import following instructions for the Gallery 2 Import Module - but it seemed to hang up - no progress updating for a considerable time. Status was stalled at Importing picture 24 of 121.

I tried pause thinking I could restart but that just hangs with a status if "Starting up..."

Is there a process for restarting, or flush and do-over for the G2 Import Module?

I don't have a lot of information to import. The begin message said:
Gallery version 2.3 detected
Your most common thumbnail size in Gallery 2 is 150 pixels, but your Gallery 3 thumbnail size is set to 200 pixels. Using the same value will speed up your import.
Your Gallery 2 has the following importable data in it: 6 users, 4 groups, 6 albums, 121 photos/movies, 0 comments, 0 tagged photos/movies/albums

EDIT I discovered the resume actions on the Maintenance page, but resume does not do anything different - just stalls with the Start up... message displayed in the progress dialog.

Any suggestions?

Is there mmore detailed log of the import than that accessed from the Maintenance page? That log only said stalled on a picture. I tried manually importing a couple of pictures into an album and determined large pictures fail.

I have decided that I need to study the new Gallery documents before continuing and will likey just load the albums manually.
